A MANO… (Handmade…)

An extraordinary fantasy miniature, magnificently reflecting real life.” This is how critics described the show A Mano by the El Patio Company, praised for its ability to stage human interaction, such as the simple gesture of playing with one's hands. A gesture that speaks to all ages and on different levels.

The El Patio Company was born out of the urge to share stories from everyday life and the search for a suitable language to tell them on stage. A Mano is a play in miniature format, without words. A story told with clay through a small character with a great desire: to escape from a shop window and its inhabitants. Amidst a succession of achievements and failures, the plot unfolds between a potter's wheel, a cup and four hands playing together, offering a performance that enchants and moves.

Poetry is expressed in many ways, including through the hands. In this show, many small gestures open the door to stories about love, desires, disappointments and every other nuance of the human experience. All represented with a delicacy that is... touching.
