Object theatre

Two bizarre chefs, tired of cooking the same dishes over and over again, decide one day to start playing with food. Funny characters and unusual stories come to life on the kitchen table.

Two fairy tales from the European tradition, The Princess and the Pea and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (or rather Snow White and the Seven Loaves…), are brought to life with fruit, vegetables, kitchen utensils, bread, flour and everything else needed for bread dough, and the children are led to look ‘with new eyes’ at the vegetables they see every day and sometimes don’t like to eat.

The audience witnesses the kneading of bread and the preparation of vegetables and fruit, physical actions that are matched to the story being told, using “object theatre” techniques.
