solonauta
in event of rain, the performance will take place at Auditorium Biagio Marin
At first, something locked in. But if one sticks one’s nose outside one’s own world, who knows what might happen? Little Solo, as he strives to find his way, takes his first steps into the world and towards others: meeting, getting to know, trusting and relying on one another, in search of a new balance.
Then a rupture opens up another dimension: what is different in solitude?

An expert in using theatre practices within educational processes and in developing participatory projects, Carola Maternini is an actress, puppeteer (figure theatre), and trainer. Originally from Varese, a globetrotter by choice, and living in Milan for convenience, she specializes in social theatre projects, community development, and participatory design in various contexts. In recent years, she has deepened her study of figure theatre techniques and languages through the Animateria course by Teatro Gioco Vita in Piacenza.
Elisa Sarchi is a social theatre practitioner and puppeteer. She trained in the languages and techniques of figure theatre with Teatro del Buratto (Milan), Horse and Bamboo Theatre (UK), and Animateria Plus (directing and dramaturgy) by Teatro Gioco Vita (Piacenza). Since 2023, she has been collaborating with Carola Maternini on the tabletop puppet show Louis. In 2006, she co-founded the association Calypso APS, with which she still works on projects aimed at personal and community development through theatre and artistic languages for different age groups (teenagers, young adults, and the elderly). Since 2016, she has been part of Collettivo Precipitazioni, creating site-specific programs and installations. Her projects take place in the Oltrepò Pavese region, several neighborhoods of Pavia, and a few corners of Europe as part of Erasmus+ partnerships.”
