‘Schattenwerfer’ is a performance that plays with the dialogue between a shadow and its body and playfully questions the hierarchy within this relationship.
A journey through an enchanted city leads us to a very special room: three white canvases create a room and a projection space. Inside the room, a table, a small piano, some objects and two torches. Suddenly, the light changes and two artists lead us through surprising paths in the magical universe of shadows. The shadows of everyday objects come alive, moving in a little dance of freedom. They become larger and smaller, they split and merge. The shadows of the artistic puppeteers also multiply, creating a fascinating dialogue.
In this performance, the shadows become everything they imagine themselves to be; they turn into bodies, bodies become shadows and, for a moment, loneliness seems much less lonely.
