EX – TRA

Three intertwined interior monologues by three women of very different ages, each dealing with a house move. One natural, one dreamed of, the other obligatory. Three perspectives on what is recognised as the “third cause of psychological stress among traumatic life events for the individual”, but which can also generate opportunity, progress, openness and liberation. The home seen as a metaphor for identity, and moving house seen as a transition in the relationship between a self and another self, between one’s past and one’s future, in a present that is like a bubble, a “non-place” of existence; because when moving house, one is neither yet departing nor already arriving, but standing on a station platform that exists somewhere between a point A and a point B in one’s life.
