cargo
In English, with Italian subtitles
Premiered at last year’s Alpe Adria Puppet Festival, Cargo focuses on one of the places that perhaps more than any other evokes the potential dangers of transport and increasingly demanding work schedules: the motorway.
In the miniature model of a motorway section, the focus is on a driver who spends his days in his truck transporting goods. His story ends tragically in a road accident.
And only when the injured need to be transported to hospital as quickly as possible in an emergency vehicle does it become clear to everyone how dependent we are on transport.

The project led by Slovenian director Tin Grabnar, is an international co-production uniting six theaters from Slovenia, Poland, Estonia, Lithuania, and the Czech Republic in the 2024/2025 season.
Through six unique productions, the project examines transport’s dual role as a driver of globalisation and a source of environmental harm.
