COME DUE SORELLE (Like Two Sisters)

The autumn session becomes an opportunity to present to the Festival audience the new itinerary of Gorizia Nascosta, the immersive theatrical walks conceived by CTA Gorizia to tell the story of Gorizia and Nova Gorica in a new and engaging way. ‘Like Two Sisters’ focusses on the architecture of the early 20th century, the protagonist of the transformation and reconstruction of the city after the First World War, up until the design and construction of a new city after the Peace Treaty of 1947.

The walk starts at the Trgosky Dom in Gorizia, designed in 1903 by Max Fabiani, and ends next to the only European monument to town planning, dedicated to Edvard Ravnikar's project for Nova Gorica.

The walk, through the support of headphones, describes the buildings and outlines the figures of those who designed them, also making use of contributions from people living in the city and its territory, and the recording of a precious interview by architect Kuzmin to Edvard Ravnikar in 1992, a year before his death.

It all begins with a chance meeting between two young girls, and develops into a passionate search along the streets and buildings of the two cities. Because every building, every street, every glimpse contains a story that must be listened to, interpreted, relived.
