ouvertures des saponettes
with no words
A word-less visual tale inspired by the atmospheres of circus and variety shows.
A magical spectacle of clownery, pantomime and music originally conceived for children, ending up enchanting audiences of all ages. In Ouverture des Saponettes, a conductor without an orchestra, musician without instruments, singer without breath, will take the spectators to an unusual concert in which giant bubbles, bouncing bubbles, walking bubbles and clusters of bubbles are created from bizarre instruments.
By and with: Michele Cafaggi
Direction: Davide Fossati
Production: Studio TA-DAA!
The show, which currently counts more than 1,000 performances, was first presented at the Museo della Scienza e della Tecnica ‘Leonardo da Vinci’ in Milan as part of the activities organised by the scientific soap bubble laboratory, and then travelled to festivals, schools, variety shows, grand galas and television shows.
It was created by Michele Cafaggi, the first artist in Italy to create an entire show dedicated to soap bubbles. Since 1993, he has been performing as a street and theatre artist in Italy and in many other countries around the world, moving with ease from large international audiences to village festivals, schools, theatres, hospitals, retirement homes, prisons and wherever there is opportunity and enjoyment in meeting the public. He is Doctor Dream at the paediatric hospital wards where the non-profit Theodora Foundation operates.

“Direttore senza orchestra, musicista senza strumenti, cantante senza fiato.
.
Un concerto anomalo, per pensieri fragili, per pensieri leggeri, per pensieri silenziosi.
Come bolle di sapone.“
