Founded in 2012, Compagnie Des Fourmis dans la Lanterne is the result of a collaboration between two puppet artists: Yoanelle Stratman and Pierre-Yves Guinais.
Both passionate about the art of bringing the inanimate to life, they work mainly with visual universes—often without spoken dialogue—allowing each audience member to imagine their own story at their own pace.
For the company, every creation is a world unto itself. Like tiny ants, the artists love to experiment and meticulously craft their work, offering the public immersive, surprising, and poetic worlds. They favor visible puppetry manipulation, often creating intimate atmospheres that bring them closer to the audience, and they perform both on the street and in theatres.
